Alright Ladies, Now Let's Get in Formation
Beyond the Cup was my first all female team experience. We were interested in determining how to use augmented reality to build empathy.

Why Coffee?
Our team wanted to build an interactive narrative for a product that is commonly used and overlooked. One of our teammates thought about coffee, so we created a survey to test that hypothesis. Our survey was taken by 137 individuals. More than half of respondents knew little to nothing about the origins of their coffee and how it was produced. Coffee is a $20 billion industry, which left much room for an innovative product to inform consumers.

Paper Prototype
We started by designing augmented interactions and then created paper prototypes to test user satisfaction. We alternated between roles of notetaker, interviewer, and prototype emulator. So...How Do We Build This?
I was responsible for leading the design and build for the housing of the project as well as creating the backboard content. We built Beyond the Cup using the following tools.

Final Prototype
Our final prototype allowed a user to employ a cup to interact with an augmented space. Below is a video demo of the Beyond the Cup in action.

Paper and Presentation
Our project ended with a formal paper and live interactive demo.
